Well done on making such a well rounded first game! I know my first game was no where near as polished as this! I think something to focus on next time is sound design, as the sound effects in the game are a bit grating and it can be a bit hard on the ears. But seriously, well done and I hope you enjoy continuing to make games!
Although I absolutely love the music done by SubspaceAudio and I think it completely fits the theme, I agree that the sound effects might feel bothersome. With that said, my skills at sound design are not the best and I didn't want to push it to much since this is my first attempt at it! I experimented adjusting the sound volumes from inside the game engine (Godot) and this was the most pleasing to my ears, with the files available. Fun Fact: I made the sound of getting a new life just by adjusting the pitch of the jumping sound higher! Anyways, since I don't feel really confident with my skills at game design and game developing in general yet, I plan to make more games and continue with this wonderful course to sharpen them!
